Sedona Day Trip

I'm looking for recommendations for one or two hikes for a day trip to Sedona from Scottsdale. Was the West Fork trail affected by the fire in 2006? There will be six adults in good shape. Also, I would appreciate your recommendations for lunch. Thanks so much.

We always have lunch at the Yavapai restaurant at the gorgeous Enchantment Resort which has great food and the views are stunning and then hike Boynton Canyon which is just magical..
Need to make sure you make a reservations, so the front gate will have you on the list..

Great suggestions from TTams. Haven't stayed at enchantment but their patio w/ stunning views is great for lunch. Really yummy appetizers and salads. Also check out The Cowboy Club in town, altho they may just be open for dinner? Try their cactus fries; they're better than they sound. You'll find lots of amazing couple hikes; the names escape me now, but one was great for runners. (need more coffee!!)

Where's EMD - shes an incredible Sedona resource!!

sorry, bad editing - didn't mean "couples" hikes as in just for couples. Sigh, more coffee....

Have a great trip.

I was in Sedona last June and I found the most scenic hikes to be the Boynton Canyon Vista (not the full Boynton Canyon hike) and Broken Arrow.

These two are by far the most scenic.

The Vista hike is a detour near the start of the Boynton Canyon Hike.

Probably a hike around Bell Rock would come in third.

Thanks so much for your suggestions. Sounds like a hike in Boynton Canyon with lunch at the Yavapai at the Enchantment... I understand the Ranger Station on Brewer Road is closed. Does anyone know where the new one is?
