SF -Need info regarding reservation at motor inns

I need some info from Fodorites who have stayed at Cow Hollow Motor Inn or any of its sister motels on Lombard St. I have checked their websites and it seems that all their rooms are for 2 occupancy only except for their suites. I have 2 families, one with 2 children below 17 years old and another with 3 children. I should think that a room with 2 queen beds and a sofa sleeper would be able to accomodate one family easily. Is the rate quoted for the rooms good only for 2 persons and additionals have to pay $10 each?

Does anyone know if they have an email contact? Their website does not have one.

It looks like you're reading their website correctly; you would have to pay $10 per extra person in a room.

I don't see an email address there either.

I always just put down 2 people and didn't worry about it unless I needed to order a rollaway bed. Before my son turned 12, it was always free. After that, it still always seemed to be free, maybe just because I didn't know better.

For the first time, we paid $20 for a rollaway, but this was in Monterey last week, not at the Cow Hollow.

We've stayed at the Cow Hollow for the last 23 years. The rooms are big enough for 4, no worries.

We stayed at the Coventry Motor Inn. We had my daughter with us (she was 21 at the time). I only claimed 2 at reservation, because we didn't know she would be with us. Anyway, they knew she was checking in with us and didn't add on the extra $10.- though they could of.

I finally decided to make a reservation with Chelsea Motor Inn. I made an enquiry from the confirmation email which they sent (which came with their email contact as well!) regarding the extra persons charge. According to them only those aged 17+ are charged and children below 17 stay for free. This certainly helps and thanks for the replies.
