My wife and I are flying into Seatac and will be taking an Amtrac bus to Vancouver. Amtrac told me that light rail is available from the airport to the King Street Station. Can anyone tell us how to get from the Delta terminal to the light rail line? Thank you for any advice or tips.

It is a bit of a long walk from terminal to the station, but the cost and overall convenience is well worth it.

thank you both, just what I was looking for and didn't find. I was not sure if the light rail to king street station was walkable, but it must be. We have 4-5 hours from landing to departure to Vancouver, if flights are on time. Hopefully this is adequate to make the connections.

It's an odd walk but there are signs all the way. You walk along the parking structure. We used it going and coming last year and it worked well for us.

From your flight, head to baggage claim area. In baggage claim you will see an escalator going up to the parking garage (there is good signage). Take that.

At the parking garage walk to your left, following the signs, around the outside of the parking garage to the Light Rail Station (about a 10 ins. walk). Buy your ticket from the machine there. Get on the waiting train.

The ride from SeaTac into downtown is approx. 40 mins.

Have you looked at Quick Shuttle straight from Sea-Tac to the hotel or cruise terminal in Vancouver? It would save time and probably end up pretty close to the same cost, counting a taxi ride from the Vancouver train station to your final destination. http://www.quickcoach.com/index.htm

Oops I could have been even more clear, after the escalator it's a *skybridge* you are on over to the parking garage.

Gardyloo, I didn't consider quick shuttle because Amtrak suggested that going to the connection to Vancouver would be easiest with the light rail.

Well, of course they would. They're in competition with Quickcoach. The Quick Shuttle option is way more convenient than the light rail + Amtrak bus approach, not just for time, but also for avoiding bag schlepping at the airport, on the train (there really isn't provision for luggage), at the ID/King Street connection, and at the Vancouver train station too.

I don't know about Quickcoach myself, but Gardyloo always gives excellent advice. So you might want to check into that option.
