Set your clocks! Get outside! Look UP!

The Leonid Meteor Shower is happening tonight and the next couple of nights!
Wrap up in a blanket and go outside and watch!
We have done this in the past, but the lights of NYC always got in the way, some.
I cannot wait to see how it looks in a dark Florida sky

Was sunny all day, Now overcast & dark up here near Toronto Ontario. Chance of rain tonight. Likely won't be able to see any meteor showers

Thanks for the heads up, Scarlett (heh heh)! It's too cloudy in MN tonight, too, but we saw the Leonid shower in AZ a few years ago and it was awesome, so I second your motion--check it out, y'all!

Between 3:00 and 4:00 am on the East coast. Set your alarm, wrap up in a blanket and lie in the yard (terrace/balcony/roof) and look East!
They expect 50+ an hour.
I have seen one meteor shower that remains in my mind as the most amazing sight ever!
We were on a water taxi in the Bay between Fire Island and Sayville NY and the stars were falling from the sky into the water..all around us. It was so amazing, the water taxi guy cut the engine and we all just sat there, idling, watching, ooohing and aaahing, it is worth the loss of an hour of sleep

Scarlett,
Could I please have a "Wake UP Call". Since I retired I don't have an Alarm Clock. Now to make you envious...I've watched these in Bend, Oregon, the
Beartooths in Montana, and on the Atlantic Ocean. Hope the lights of Jax don't interfere.

I tried yesterday... honestly! Couldn't see anything from a San Francisco street. Maybe to see the stars I need one of them EasyTravelers Bastardo Limoncellos?

I am mortified
I woke up at 4 because the Pup was growling, so we did the walk around the house to check all the windows and doors, I got cold, he stopped growling, I wondered what it was, we went back to bed...I forgot
Tonight, there might be more tonight!!
Give me your list for wake up calls LOL

Hi Faina, yes indeed Limoncello will help one see "shooting stars". Happy Thanksgiving and have a great time in Yountville.

And Scarlett, shame on you, LOL, well at least dear Pup tried to advise you!
