Sedona or Scottsdale

I am planning a last minute trip to Arizona for my mother and I - Sedona or Scottsdale for 3 nights? We enjoy luxurious rooms but do not generally seek out fine haute cuisine and spa treatments. We most enjoy hiking, seeing the scenery, and some pool time. We do not like a lot crowds but don't want to be too isolated from civilation (Chimayo, NM was too remote for me.) We are not huge shoppers. Any ideas? I have been thinking Enchantment in Sedona or Fairmont in Scottsdale. Help!

You will love Sedona. Enchantment is secluded but close in so you can get to town quickly. The hiking is gorgeous and the trails range in difficulty. The hike around Kachina Woman can be very flat and easy if that is what you choose.

There are restaurants in every taste and budget.

We went last year in May and cannot wait to go back this year!
