Sedona lodging

I am planning to go to Sedona in early December for about 4 nights. I do not have an unlimited budget and note that the rates are much lower after Thanksgiving and before Christmas. I would like to spend no more than about $250-$300 per night. I looked at rates at the Enchantment and it offers a package in line with what I want to spend. I am told that it is one of the best resorts.

Can those who have stayed in Sedona provide suggestions as to other hotels / resorts that may be comparable to the Enchantment.

Amara by Kimpton. We stayed there in December a couple of years back. Great location.

It is not as posh as Enchanted but quite nice.

Enchanted is lovely, great restaurants and hiking. Will need a car to get around as it is pretty removed from Sedona proper.

This is a really lovely place, just next to Amara, right on Oak Creek. Great Restaurant there as well -

We stayed in a cabin at l'auberge and LOVED it. Food was amazing.

I'm guessing you want something really expensive and luxurious? If by some chance you'd rather save money and have a great view, consider the rim-side rooms or suites at Sky Ranch Lodge. Enchantment Resort is a 10-15 minute drive to Sedona while Sky Ranch is right in town and overlooks everything.

We stayed at Enchantment and both of us loved everything about it. Surrounding rock views, trails just off the property, outdoor dining, the rooms, the ambiance of the area. Very peaceful and beautiful and removed from town, which is what we were looking for. I would stay there again without hesitation. We went in town a few times but there really wasn't anything there that drew us in day after day after we had seen the galleries and shops. The beauty of Enchantment is pretty spectacular and the restaurants, pool, spa and outdoor area are nice as well.

We checked out Sky Ranch while we were there and it does have a nice view.

No I don't want a place that is really expensive and want some place that would be enjoyable and memorable. Going for 4 nights and there a pretty good deal at Enchantment (Stay 3 and get 4th free). Since I am almost certain I will never pass through that area again I figure it may be worth a few hundred bucks more and live it up.
