Sea Lodge on Kauai

I have been researching condos to possibly stay at during May 22 - 28. Has anyone stayed at the Sea Lodge condos on the North Shore? Honest opinions please! I have a family that is willing to give me a very reasonable price for the area, $145 / night, but I'm not sure if I'll end up paying for it in the end.

Thanks!

We've stayed there (even though we live nearby), we've had friends/relatives who have rented there, and we have friends who live there (each unit is individually owned and operated).

The views are drop-dead gorgeous (the buildings are perched on an oceanfront bluff) -- but the interior condition and amenities vary from unit to unit. I've seen everything from "House Beautiful" to "this place needs help!!".

You would be wise to ask for _recent_ photos of the interior -- but that view...ahhhhhhhhhhhh, it can make _anything_ look liveable.

We stayed there and plan on returning next year. We did one vacation in Kauai where we stayed at all the expensive hotels and loved the island so much we went back a few months later but did the condo instead. The Sea Lodge is in a great location. We love the North Shore and the beaches there, especially Tunnels & Kee'e. Hanneli is so close, just down the hill, and there's lots of place to try for dinner. Also it's great to go to the Princeville hotel, the views are amazing. Auntie Maria is correct, be sure to see photos of the place you rent. Most web sites have them.

We stayed at Sea Lodge A2 last summer at the end of July and begining of August.

Sea Lodge A2 is a quiet little condo located in the first building in the corner on the 1st floor, no hauling luggage up and down stairways. Great views and decorated really nice, trail to a secluded beach outside.

We had a great time, very romantic Honeymoon Suite.

I found their web site from my stuff. www.kauaisealodgecondos.com I talked to Kalea.

Please let them know I referred you, maybe they will give me a break when I go next year.

We stayed in unit E-6 last year and it was perfect. I got up early every morning to watch the sunrise and every afternoon and albatross would fly past several times. Rainbows after showers were amazing. No beach on the property but the view more than makes up for it.
