Scottsdale Italian Restaurants---Mangia!

OK, I cook Italian, I married an Italian and need some GREAT restaurant suggestions for Scottsdale. Little hole-in-the-walls, family owned places preferred but open to any and all suggestions. Have yet to find one.....really like La Stalla in Chandler though. Went to Uncle Sal's and could not finish meal...AWFUL!

Not a restaurant, but a place for the raw ingredients (and a great roast beef sandwich) - Tony's Italian Deli On Dunlap in Sunnyslope

I second La Fontenella and I cannot remember the name, but there is a nice Italian restaurant on the westside of Scottsdale Road at Thunderbird. Bobby's at Kierland, Scottsdale Road/Greenway is also good.

Not a hole-in-the-wall, but we liked Tomaso's in Chandler. There is also one in Phoenix at Camelback & 32nd. Not really a chain--just 2 or 3 locations, I think. Haven't been in the last year, but what I remember is an excellent, reasonably priced meal, and that we ordered off-menu and they were most accommodating.
