Weekend Transportation Option from MSY to french quarter (quarter house)

Hello,
My first time to New Orleans and I would need some help on transportation options.
I'll be arriving on Sat. night (11pm) and I was wondering whats the best way to head over to the Quarter House Resort.
I was first thinking about E2 Bus but it seems that it doesn't go the full route on the weekends and it might be a bit dangerous that late of night. WIll it be?
My second option is just to grab a taxi and just go.

thanks,
Kevin

I'd take a cab, especially at that hour. Won't be very expensive.

I'm a N.O. local, and I would use the company Airport Shuttle. I have used them myself and was very satisfied. Their current price is $30 roundtrip, door to door.

I'd take the cab, and use United Cab. If you use the shuttle, you'll be delayed by having to stop other places.

I doubt there will be many, if any, other riders as late at night as Kevin is arriving at the airport. MSY has very few late night flight arrivals.

My first thought was United Cab, but I kind of agree with crepes_a_go_go if nothing else for the price. For one person, and at that time of the evening, it would be close to half the cost to use the shuttle. We always used the cabs, but arrive in town in the middle of the day and there are a lot more people waiting to get to hotels at that time.

hmm i felt cheated by the cab.... $35 from the airport. I was tired from the delayed flight and he just took my $40.
