Scenery from SFO to Napa?
What would be the most scenic route from SFO to Napa?? We are arriving at 1 pm on a Sunday and need not get to Napa until we do. I couldn't discern from Stu Dudley's wonderful tips where the airport is in conjuction to SF and Napa. Thanks again, as usual

The airport is south of San Francisco. The best route, including scenery, would be to take highway 101 across the Golden Gate bridge and then pick up California 37 and finally California 29. JThat will take you past several wineries and into the Napa Valley.

Stick with Underhill's idea of Hwy 101 to 37, then from Hwy 37 take a left at Sear's Point on to Hwy 121.
Hwy 121 will take you through some of the Carneros region of Sonoma County, it's quite scenic and there are some nice wineries along the way.
When 121 intersects Hwy 12-turn right and follow what will then be 121/12 through the southern ouskirts of the town of Sonoma.
You could even take a sidetrip up into Sonoma town and stroll around the square. Back on Hwy 121/12
you can journey along more lovely countryside and on over to Napa County and Hwy 29. Might as well get a taste of my lovely Sonoma County while you are
here.
If you really want a scenic adventure, and you are doing this during Daylight Savings time, you could exit Hwy 101 in Marin at the Mill Valley/Stinson beach exit and travel up Hwy 1 along the coast. You could go inland where Hwy 1 intersects the Petaluma/ Marshall road. Follow this through Petaluma where it turns into D Street. Hang a right at the Lakeville Hwy which becomes Hwy 116 and you can take this over to that same intersection on the outskirts of Sonoma town that is Hwy 121/12. Do know that The Hwy 1 portion is a very scenic, winding road and will add 2-3 hours plus stops to your trip to Napa.

If you have the time, once you cross the GG Bridge take one of the first exits (Alexander?) after the GG Bridge (not the vista point) and come back under the freeway and go up to the overlook.
