Savannah B&B or charming Inn
Arriving in Savannah by car from Southern FL. Then we want to walk around and walk to dinner. Any suggestions of where to stay. Charming B&B or Inn. Dinner suggestions would be welcome also.

I would stay at the Planters Inn and have dinner at the Olde Pink House ( next door)

The Presidents' Quarters on Oglethorpe Square is newly renovated, quiet and lovely on Oglethorpe Square. Plus, there is free on-site, self-parking -- so there are no valet or parking fees. Alligator Soul (intimate, southern fine dining), Olde Pink House (classic fine dining) or Garibaldi's (bistro-style fine dining) are wonderful. If you want something more cafe-style for dinner, Firefly on Troup Square is delightfully cozy. Wear comfortable shoes and take a back-pack or hip-tote of water. You will want ti enjoy the historic district by foot, or by pedi-cab (if you get tired). The trolleys are great for a once over, but chatting, stopping, moseying are such fun! For lunch I'd recommend Harris Baking Co. or Leopold's Ice Cream (which has sandwiches, light salads and fabulous old fashion ice cream).
