Sausalito - need hotel & restaurant recommendations
#21
nanabee, enjoy your trip and report back about the tour. It's at the top of my list for my next visit. I hate that I had to cancel last time but everything I've seen and read on Facebook (after friending them) since then has added to the excitement.
Congrats on the double celebration

Fortunately MichelleY corrected me and I did get a one day reservation at Inn Above Tide. I am so glad we splurged and spent the extra money. It was a wonderful experience. Very quite, peaceful, relaxed. The staff was wonderful, the breakfast was continental but very large and the choices were great.
Starrs, we took the 3 hour boat tour and even thought you didn't get to go, I'm glad you recommended it. The lady who runs it and does the tour is very well informed about the history, boats and the people. She's lived there most of her life (her name is Victoria) and she's a bit of a hippy herself, but extremely talented. She's the type of person you'd like to know better and hang out with.
