Sante Fe weekly rentals nice
Has anyone rented a nice condo in the Sante Fe area? Something comparable to a Marriott, Westin in quality? we're nervous about renting from an individual. There are 4 of us and to get 2 hotel rooms will be $400 to $500 per night. Thanks

We rented a great condo in a gated golf community just a 6 minute drive from downtown Santa Fe. We had a lovely (and we're really fussy) 2 bedroom house (about 1500 square feet) with living room, dining room/great cooking kitchen, patio w/ gas grill, washer dryer/internet/flat screen tv and 2 beautiful bathrooms. There was a very nice fitness room/clubhouse/restaurant/indoor pool a 3 minute walk from our unit. The name of the community is "Quail Run". The condo association itself handles the rentals, and they were very efficient. It all had a very nice reesort feel, and we'd rent there again if we return to Santa Fe. You can google it to see the website. I remember thinking it was pricy - maybe $1800 or more for the week, but it we felt it was worth it.

Several years ago, we stayed at Ft. Marcy Compound (condos). They were fine, a couple of bedrooms, apartment sized kitchen, and den with fireplace. It's within walking distance of the Plaza, I suppose several blocks.
Quite some time ago, we also stayed at the Residence Inn, which might work for you. But, it's quite a ways from the Plaza.
Recently, we stayed at the Hotel Plaza Real. It's right on the Plaza (or nearly there) and the price is right. It's not perfect, it needs some work on the outside. But, our room was rather spacious with a sitting area, wet bar, 2 TVs and wood burning fire place. So, if you're willing to overlook a few things, it's a great place to stay. You might also check out Inn of the Governors and St. Francis. annieladd
