Santa Barbara hotels

I would love to find a hotel or Bed and Breakfast for 2 nights in downtown Santa Barbara. It would great if it was under $200. thanks

Hi, holl, this is where we stayed and liked it a lot. http://www.oldyachtclubinn.com

It is not downtown, but not terribly far either, as I recall. If you want downtown b/c you will not have a car, then maybe this will not suit you, but I thought I would send it along, just in case. Some of the rooms can be had for under $200, depending on time of year and mid-week vs week-end.

I just booked a room at the Casa del Mar for $135. It looks nice on-line and it's close to the beach but not too close to downtown.

Some years ago, stayed at a lovely B & B, walking distance up to mission, which I think was named Secret Garden. Is this still in existence? It's not exactly downtown, although walkable and quiet with lovely secluded backyard garden.
