Sanibel Island in November a good idea?

We are considering traveling to Homestead in mid-November to attend an event, and then perhaps spending several days in the Sanibel Island area (it's been several years since we've been back). Our past visits have been in Jan/Feb/Mar . Would a visit in November present any problems, such as lodging, weather, restaurants closed, etc.? Would another location for R&R be more desirable? Thanks for your consideration!

I made a reservation for our usual place on Sanibel for this coming November several weeks ago. Fortunately the place wasn't yet sold out. We love it over there and at that time of year, too.
