Hi girlonthego,
I'm assuming you mean Sandbridge Beach in Virginia Beach. I've never rented a house there, but I lived just a few miles away for several years, worked out that way, and went to the beach there occasionally.
In my opinion, the beach itself is nice enough, but it can get crowded on summer weekends. The immediate Sandbridge area is mostly residential and much quieter than the oceanfront resort area; there are only a few restaurants and not a whole lot to do (aside from the beach, of course). But if you don't mind a short drive, all the attractions of the Va. Beach/Hampton Roads area are easily accessible. If you like kayaking, I know my husband used to love paddling around in Back Bay (on the non-ocean side of Sandbridge).
The only thing I really don't like is that there is only one two-lane road that leads out to Sandbridge, and traffic can get backed up on busy days. It would likely only be a problem on Saturdays and Sunday. Also, I don't know for certain, but I'm sure there must be a bit of jet noise...we did hear them at home and at work. Unless they've changed the flight patterns, though, I don't think that its enough to be intrusive or a real problem.
Good Luck!

Thanks Mindy. We were looking at property there. We live in the Richmond area. I have only been there once to drive around the area. We usually have stayed in the busy va beach strip area, but I would never want to buy there.
Any other opinions?

Thanks Janet, I had the feeling you have been there and was hoping you would chime in.
DH found a place he wants to look at. Striking while the economy stinks. Just hope our home economy can handle something like this! Anyway, we have only been there once. It is the closest beach area to us here.
