Sanctuary on Camelback

Has anyone stayed at The Sanctuary on Camelback and used their spa? What's it like? And, do you know if it is walking distance from any of the hiking trails up Camelback?

I haven't stayed there or been to the spa, but I've heard wonderful things about it. It depends how far you want to walk to the trails..the main trailhead is quite a walk, so you'd be better off driving. But I'm sure there's some exploring to do right on/off the property itself.

I have had cocktails at the Jade Bar..beautiful.

The spa is quite nice, peaceful, immaculately clean, and great treatments. If you're staying there, there are two types of suites available, one rustic and one surprisingly modern. Either way, there is a fireplace and a separate bedroom and the bathrooms are elegant. One unit even had a clawfoot tub on the private patio. I did not hike but others there did and got to the trails without needing transportation. Elegant setting. Enjoy!

Thanks for your info! I also read a thorough article about Phoenix destination spas in T&L this month with a great review of Sanctuary.
