San Jose to Pac Bell?

S.F. Giants fans, I need your help!

I have baseball tickets to the Giants-Cardinals game on Monday evening, July 8th. We will be heading to the game from our "base" in Milpitas. I want to avoid driving to and parking at Pac Bell. Which is the easiest/quickest mode of transportation, taking CalTrain from the south Bay area, or, driving along the east side of the Bay to Oakland/Alameda and taking the ferry across to the stadium? Thanks for your input!

Am I allowed to advise being not a fan of any baseball team?

Take Caltrain, and then if you don't want to walk take either line N light rail or a muni bus, if I remember correctly it may be 15 or 47 or 10, confirm with MUNI.

Also taking SamTrans maybe an option, but in my opinion a much slower option.

I would take BART. From Milpitas, go north on 880 5 exits to Stevenson Blvd.-East in Fremont. Then:
L on Civic Center Dr. to BART station
San Francisco BART train to Embarcadero exit - $4.25
Inside BART station go up one floor to Muni
Take Muni #N to Mission Bay - $1.00
Pac Bell Park is 2nd or 3rd stop
Entrance to Pac Bell is <100 feet
Very easy.

As I have tickets for the 12:35 game on TUESDAY July 8th, I am hoping you check your tickets before you travel!
Go Cardinals! Go Giants!

Why would anyone want to leave San Jose for SF when you have the SJ Giants "A" League team, Tech Museum and Winchester Mystery House in SJ?

Happy Silly Friday!

Hey! The SJ Giants is one thing I *will* stick up for in San Jose. Much less hassle and more fun than dragging up to Pac Bell park. Baseball can be boring to watch either way, but at least in SJ you can sit close enough to see the game (and the food is good and reasonably priced). I will admit Pac Bell is nice as big stadiums go; I'm just not into crowds.

curmy,
I hear ya.
We love the River Cats games up here in Sacto. for the same reason.
Plus Old town Sac is within "stumbling distance" the Raley Field.!

BUT, you're right about Pac Bell. Nice place, good b'park food and gorgeuos setting.
Cheers!

dean56,

As rasnes5 stated, it's a 12:35 game! Better check your schedule.

Thanks for everyone's input...yes, the game is on MONDAY evening the 7th. To you San Jose supporters, I hear you about minor league baseball...we now have a Northern League team here in Kansas City, and it's a big hit...cheaper prices, smaller crowds, less traffic, etc.
