Is the show (I think somewhere in North Beach) that features the big hats, still showing in San Francisco? I can't remember the name of it, but I have seen or heard about it in several movies and travel books. If I remember, there is even a street named after it.

Beach Blanket Babylon is alive and well at Club Fugazi in North Beach. Believe they have a website and highly recommend it. There is one night when you can take children (not because of content, but because of liquor laws---think it's Thursday) but do a search.

Beach Blanket Babylon is still running, but it is really not that great of a show. I wouldn't waste your time or money seeing it.

You have to have a good imagination and sense of humor. It is silly. I known 1 person who did not love it.

Beach Blanket Babylon is okay, but nothing that I would go out of my way for.

Seen Beach Blanket Babylon twice and loved it both times--first time by myself, second with my husband. He didn't like it as much as I did. Depends on your sense of humor, your interest in San Francisco's culture, and, sometimes, your knowledge of local politics. But if cabaret is your sort of thing, it's a good show.
