My son's birthday is October 27th. Every year I dutifully planned an indoor birthday party. He is going on 25 (next month) and it has rained exactly ONCE on his birthday!!!

Even though all this talk about rain was for Feb. I still started to get nervous reading through it and wondered if we should pack an umbrella for this weekend just in case. Thanks for the reassurance that it will NOT rain this weekend!

I'm packing my clothes now... and I'm burning up because I keep trying on so many LAYERS to make sure I'm warm on the coast!

Have you looked at accuweather - from the 12th to the 16th, it's supposed to be 77-71-71-77-80, and all sunny, and that's IN San Francisco. In Palo Alto, it's supposed to be 81-77-77-81-83. Even Carmel isn't supposed to go below 64.

DH said the forecast looks beautiful! But didn't Stu say recently that his wife was giving a tour and it was 90 to start and 60 by the end?! Everyone was freezing!

And I'm also thinking that our sunset/night walks along the beach in Carmel are going to be in the 50s.

I do NOT like to be cold, so I've learned to be prepared! I've even got gloves and earmuffs packed for the windy coast of Big Sur... just in case!!

Mid September is our most predictable good weather period. No rain, but I would definately bring a jacket to wear in the evening.

So, I guess it wasn't such a terrible thing to top this thread afterall, seems like some useful info was provided to a fodorite.
