San Francisco?

Help, we are thinking about going to San Francisco this fall, but would like to know the temperatures at that time? Is it pretty warm and sunny? Also what are some good hotel recommendations.

You can find average historical weather data for San Francisco at www.weather.com

For hotel recommendations, search this forum for "San Francisco hotel". The search box is up at the very top of this page, and this question has been answered many times.

September is usually the nicest month in San Francisco, our "Indian summer." Of course, there is no guarantee, it can be cold and foggy anytime. Bring a jacket!

We were thinking about going in late October or the beginning of November. Is it pretty warm during those months?

No, cupcake, the warmest weather is usually over by first week of November in S.F. The first part of November might have a week or so of hazy, sunny days with temps in the 60's, but it cools off very fast in the evenings - remember, it also gets dark very early that time of year. However, as long as we don't have an early start to the rainy season (In 2002, we had a ferocious rain and wind storm during the first few days of November), it can still be a very nice time to visit.
