San Diego-Mission Beach/Pacific Beach Accomodation

Our family of 4 will be in San Diego for 3 nights in November. We would like to stay in the Mission Beach/Pacific Beach area and would like accomodation that has a kitchenette and is reasonably priced/ something around $100.00 a night range. If any one has a recommendation I would certainly appreciate it.

Try the Catamaran or the Bahia. I don't have websites off the top of my head, but try a search on Google

I used hoteldiscounts.com and got a great deal....have to prepay your room, but saved about 40% over published room rates.

Sorry but the Catamaran has neither a kitchenette nor is anywhere near $100.00/night. I'd try anything on Mission Blvd in PB. There are lots of older hotels with good sized rooms and kitchenettes that would fit your budget. The AAA book has quite a few listed.

The Catamaran does have rooms with kitchenettes. They are the ones called studio rooms. I just stayed in one in the tower with a view of the bay two weeks ago. You can get decent rates at hotels.com for this hotel, although its still more than $100 per night.

I should have specified. Would you want to stay in one of tiny studios with a fimly of 4? I wouldn't.

The studio rooms are not tiny at all. They are the same size as any normal hotel room. In addition to the kitchenette, they have two full beds, a separate vanity area next to the bathroom, and the ones in the tower have balconies. There are pictures on the hotel's web site. If the family has relatively young children, its more than enough space.

If you want some room to spread out, do a search for "+condo +San Diego" and you will get the names of some condo rental companies in San Diego. We rented from San Diego Vacation Rentals (I believe that's their name)last April for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed an oceanfront 2 BR condo with full kitchen and living room on Mission Beach. It was incredible!

For condo rentals there is San Diego Vacation Rentals and Penny Realty and you should be able to get a bargain for November for a nice studio or one bedroom in Mission Beach. Great Place the kids will love it.
