San Diego - Mission Bay hotels

We're traveling in October and would like to stay in a hotel, near relatives who are renting a house on Mission Bay off I-5. Can anyone recommend a 3 or 4-star hotel in that area?

Ocean Park Inn and Pacific Terrace Inn; both on the boardwalk in Pacific Beach and a few minutes drive to Mission Bay.

The area in which your relatives could be staying is quite large. If you can narrow it down a bit, we could give you a better idea of hotels that would be close by, or at least not too far away.

For the South Mission area, the Bahia Hotel is close. For North Mission and Sail Bay parts of Mission Bay, the Catamaran, Ocean Park Inn and Pacific Terrace and Surfer Motor Lodge are pretty convenient. Closer to I-5, the Hilton San Diego Resort may be better placed.

Good luck, and enjoy San Diego.
