For just two people if you don"t care about a pool, look at Crystal Pier Hotel. Cottages over the ocean on the pier, real nice. With kids no matter what the age Catamaran Hotel is the choice or renting a house or apt in Mission Beach. I have to say this about the shootings in Mission Beach, which I consider a very safe place. It was 2:30 in the morning at a PL away from everything and the boys confronted the guys for taking their bikes , instead of walking away and getting their licence plate. When you have too many guys(I don't know if it was gangs that attacted them) let them have the bikes. We have a two bedroom that we rent to families and the same people have been coming here for 19 yrs with their kids and never a problem.
