Why did you pick San Diego in the first place, and how long do you plan to be there? Knowing that will help the responders.

We spent our 25th anniversary in this area, stayed at the Hotel Del Coronado which was wonderful. I would not miss spending some time in La Jolla, George's California Modern is a very nice restaurant in this area. Have fun! ***kim***

I picked San Diego because of the climate, and we will be there for 3 days.

The Hotel Del is a lovely destination (beach, architecture, etc.), but I think there are better hotels. Have you decided where you're staying (even what area of town)?

Zoo will take one full day, Sea World maybe another [at least 1/2]

Leaves you 1 day. What do you like to do? What time of year?

As much as I love the zoo (actually, I don't like zoos in concept, but of all zoos, I love the San Diego zoo) and I know you should spend all day there, I think I'd plan on half a day, and spend the rest in Balboa Park, then have dinner and a wander around either Old Town or the Gaslamp quarter. I'd spend 1/2 a day at SeaWorld (I know in both cases, you'll be "shorting" the attractions, but if you stay all day, you'll miss out on the rest of San Diego), 1/2 day in Coronado, 1/2 day in La Jolla. Wander around Old Town and/or Seaport Village if it's nice out. In all cases, have a meal --- dinner in the Gaslamp, lunch in La Jolla, dinner somewhere else, etc. This all assumes that you will have a car.

Do you have a hotel yet?
I would suggest either the Hotel Del in Coronado, Grand Del Mar, Grande Colonial in La Jolla or L'Auberge in Del Mar.
Maybe take a 'seal tour' of the SD bay..have a nice meal at George's or the Marine Room.
Need more info. when you will be here.
