San Diego Help

Hello. I'm going to San Diego for two days in mid-April with my girlfriend and am looking for a good restaurant for dinner on Coronado. I heard of a restaurant there with a shark tank built into the floor. Is this place good? Is there a better place? I'm thinking around $25/person. Also, what's your opinion of George's at the Cove for lunch? Thanks!

I recently had lunch at Coronado Brewing Co, and it was pretty good.

I love Il Fornaio, on the bayside, overlooking downtown. It has great Italian food in an elegant yet relaxed setting with a gorgeous view. Your budget will be fine there. I know there's a website; if I find it I'll post a link to their menu.

I'd recommend Peohe's for dinner in Coronado.....located on First Steet, at the ferry landing. George's in La Jolla would be a great pick for lunch. Both have fabulous harbor/ocean views.

You might be able to have lunch at Georges for $25 per person, but not dinner. As mentioned, Peohe's has a great view, but the $25 per person would not cover the drinks. If you are here for the weekend, consider a champagne brunch...many to chose from.

Thanks! Please keep the suggestions coming! Is Brockton Villa still the preference for breakfast?

B'Fast at Hash Haus on 5th St is "unforgettable" - split one.
I love George's, but it's pricey.
Thee Bungalow in Ocean Beach is great -check their web site and the wine list has some wonderful no name (yea, even Pinot Noir) bargains.

I've never heard of a restaurant with a shark tank in the floor, but that doesn't necessarily mean there isn't one.

Check out this website www.sandiegorestaurants.com

George's Terrace is fantastic for lunch and affordable.

I'd go to Il Fornaio on the Bay for dinner. Peohe's is nice but still would go to Il Fornaio for the food. Further uptown is the Bistro D'Asia on Orange for excellent asian style food.

For $25 per person? I don't think so.

Barbara- oops! didnt see the price limit- you are right- $25 wont get dinner in the Marine Room - not sure if it would even get appetizers.
