San Antonio lunch spot for a large group

Hello. In October about 100 friends and I will be visiting San Antonio. The group hotel is the Menger. I want to arrange a lunch spot for the Saturday of our visit. I would like a place within easy walking distance of the hotel, good food, not too noisy as we are all about chatting, separate checks, order individually. Big group tables are great but not essential.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Dicks Last Resort? On the River with long tables that might work well. But I do not know if they will book groups.

separate checks

That might not be possible. Many restaurants refuse to break up the checks into more than three parts per table; and also add an automatic service charge for groups of 8 or more.

Maybe you could find a spot that with a group or function room and then have a dedicated menu to your group where you prepay and order off that menu? Sure would help with the separate check issue which most restaurants won't do and make everyone's experience much easier, too.

All the other meals with prepay with special menu and private room. And it is easier for sure. As this is a lunch people want flexibility because of weather and other options so we do try to offer one option where exact numbers and prepay aren't required.
I will explore the suggestions!
