San Antonio

My husband and I are celebrating our first wedding anniversary and were thinking of visiting San Antonio. Any suggestions on places to stay, perhaps bed & breakfast type places and or favorite things to see/do there?? Thanks!

Congratulations! Are you interested in staying downtown? Re: B&B's, there's the Joske House in the historic King William area, www.joske.com. On what to do, you can do a search on this site--there have been recent discussions on things to do in San Antonio.

You and your hubby will have a great time in San Antonio. They have a wonderful Trolley system that goes around town. I took a girl trip there last year and we had a blast.

Go see: The Alamo, The boat ride on the Riverwalk, The Market Square and the IMAX movie on the Batlle of the Alamo.

At night go party at all the fun bars on the Riverwalk.

As for restaurants, we ate at the "Original Mexican Restaurant" and "Mi Tierra" We found the atmosphere better at Mi Tierra but the food was yummier at OMR. I heard many differing opinions to that just on this forum.

Congratulations!

I used to live in SA and could go on and on. Here is the web site for the San Antonio Convention and visitors Bureau. They also can send Excellent brochures.

We've stayed at the Oge Inn several times and always enjoyed it. Close to the Riverwalk, good breakfasts, charming rooms, reasonable prices.
