Salt Lake City - Yellowstone Road Construction!

Those of you planning to drive from/to SLC & Jackson/Yellowstone need to be aware of I15 road construction starting today. I15 through the city of Ogden (1/2 hour north of SLC) will be restricted to 1 lane each way for construction.

Expect delays of 1 hour during rush hours.
Rush hours are southbound (toward SLC) in the AM & northbound in the PM.

Alternate routes are surface streets or east on I80 through Park City & Evanston, then north on I89 to Jackson.

Hope this helps!

You are absolutely correct Dayle. As usual. One could also take I-84 up Weber Canyon to Evanston and then up thru Woodruff....Cokeville...Afton. Also, came down thru the Snake River Canyon from Holback Jct to Alpine yesterday. That road is still under construction but what else is new. It is always underconstruction. So one should also be prepared for delays during this stretch of the drive.

Hi,
I'm planning to make the drive at the end of August and come back in mid-September. Will the roads still be under construction then?

they say it's to go through September. At least they are smart enough to give an contractor incentive, bonus for early finish, penalty for late!

Here's a web site to help:
