RT Tickets for Ellis Island Ferry

Hi. I plan to travel to NYC on a Tuesday to visit the Ellis Island Museum. How / where do I purchase RT ferry tickets to get there?
Thanks in advance.

It's the same ferry as for the Statue of Liberty. Buy tickets as early as you can - and realize that even with tickets there's a long security line - as in airline security. And don;t bring any large backpacks. Just don;t get off at Liberty Island - the ferry goes right on to Ellis Island.

Thank you to ellenem and nytraveler. GOOD point re: the backpacks, I would have been travelling w/ a daypack (change of clothes for the next AM after camping on a friends couch) so I will probably check the daypack in at Penn Station where I can rent a locker for the day.
Off to the NYC next week. Thanks again and happy travels!

There are no lockers at Penn Station--no luggage check of any kind except possibly for Amtrak ticket holders.
