Rockport, MA.

Rockport voted to end it's status as a dry town yesterday. The town hopes this will increase the tourism traffic in town and boost the local economy. The Emerson Inn should be the first recipient of a liquor license. Local restaurants will follow.

That's too bad, the beautiful national Park at Halibut point, will become littered. The restaurants are always filled and And you can BYOB. We bring our own wine to the Chowder House , and My Place.

This will have no effect on Halibut point since there will be no liquor stores. And, My Place and The Chowder House do NOT like the policy of BYOB.

This will have no effect on the scenery or make Rockport and less quaint.

That is because they could not serve any. Those two restaurants were the driving force behind this. A BYOB policy contributed to more littering anyway because they would bring unused alcohol from the meal, drink it at the shoreline, and leave the trash.
