Rockport/Gloucester Restaurant Suggestion!

I am planning a 35th wedding anniversary dinner for my parents. Can you please suggest a very nice restaurant, which we could make reservations for about 10-14 people in the Gloucester/Rockport, MA area. I would like the restaurant to have an ocean view.

As well as any suggestions on accomadations: inn or hotel. Thank you very much, Sarah

The Emerson Inn in Rockport has a nice view and could accomdate that many people easily. Rockport is a dry town ,so you would BYOB. McT's is right on the harbor in Gloucester, But I wouldn't Call it "Very nice", just average. However, they have a menu that would please everyone, so that is also a good choice. 'My Place" is at the top of Bearskin Neck in Rockport, great view with good food. Try that as well.

Try Capeann.com for accomadations. There are so many choices from Small motels to upscale B&B's. Narrow it to a few choices, post it here, and I will try to give you the best advice.

If you are still looking for a suggestion go to www.egullet.com- during my last visit to New England they were a dream come true! once at the site click on United States and then New England in the discussion area.

In Rockport, there is a beautiful restaurant right on the ocean called My Place by the Sea. Expensive, fine dining, excellent food...there is also an upstairs deck you can rent out for private parties. It's a dry town, but you can BYOB. Also, in Gloucester, there is McT's, which is a bit more casual, but still on the water and nice, very extensive menu.

if you go to my place, ask if you want to be seated outside overlooking the rocks and water.
