Booth Bay Harbor in Fall
We travel to Maine often but haven't explored this coast area, any lodging recommendations/restaurants and must sees.
We are traveling from MA for a long weekend.
Thanks for your help.

Cap'n Fish's Motel is very clean-no luxuries but we like it. It's very reasonable-around $79-89. The staff is friendly too. Brown's Wharf Inn-just steps away-has a very nice restaurant-food is excellent. Rocktide Inn also has a very good restaurant, although it's been several years since we've been there.

Boothbay Harbor:
The Tugboat Inn is located right in town but at the south end which makes parking problems a non issue. It is right on the water with great views and very decent rooms. They have a waterview restaurant which is good but not what you would call great.
Rocktide Restaurant, across the footbridge is very good but be aware their better dining room requires jackets on gentlemen.
Brown's Wharf is a decent lodging but their dining room, while very nice with great sunsets, is poorly staffed both in kitchen and server areas.
Good breakfasts are always available at the Ebbtide in the center of town. Good food and good, fast and pleasant service.
For good food and good prices, travel for 10 minutes down Rt 96 to East Boothbay and try the Lobsterman's Wharf Restaurant. It's the Maine real deal.
