Not sure how old your kids are.
A 5/6 year old is certainly old enough for the show - started going to their shows at that age. A 2/3 year old might be too young to sit still for that long - depends on their attention span and maturity.

The Radio City Xmas spectacular is much more than the Rockettes. It's a great show for adults and kids alike, but if the kids are too young, may not be a good idea. The show is 90 mins. long. For younger kids, you might look at the Big Apple Circus and newvictory.org
There may be discount codes on tickets on broadwaybox.com or seasonofsavings.com I've also heard there can be discounts found at the TKTS booth.

My husband just surprised me with tickets for the family yesterday. We went and it is really a very well done production. The scale of it is amazing. And there is a ton there for kids to watch and it really moves along, it never drags.
We went with my 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son and they were wonderful. They have a high attention span though. Do your kids sit through movies well? If so, then they will do great at this.
It was at Joe Louis arena where the Redwings play, so before the show started my son thought we were going to see a hockey game. Then when anyone would leave the stage, he'd ask where they were going and we kept telling him they were going to the locker room.
