Rock Center
Daughter and friends want to skate at Rock Center. Unfortunately the day they want to go is Black Friday. Will it be impossible? Any tips on good times of day to skate there, cost, do they give you a place to stow your stuff, etc?

There is also a new rink near the Museum of Natural History. Apparently it has faux ice and is a little easier to skate on. Haven;t seen it - but you could check the museum web site for details.
The Rock Center rink on Black Friday will be elbow to elbow. The program hours are limited and the prices are high. The best you can do is sort of shuffle around - since many of the "skaters" actually can't.
When watching the latest session (I think 10 pm to midnight) the later hour clears out some and you can see some people who actually can skate a little - as least do some basic single jumps - and don;t fall down every 10 feet.
