Sat night Phoenix
Sunday night Grand Canyon Phoenix to Grand Canyon is 227 miles and 3 1/2 to 4 hour drive. This will only give you several hours to see the park.

Monday night Gouldings Lodge in monument valley 180 miles and about 4 hours drive. You will want to stop at some of the scenic overlooks as you exit the Grand Canyon. If you get an early start you should have time for a tour of Monument Valley.

Tuesday night Sedona Enchantment
208 miles and a little over 4 hours drive.

Wed night Sedona Enchantment
Thurs night Phoenix
Friday- 6:30am flight back to

As long as you realize you will be spending a lot of time driving, it is do able for a whirlwind tour.

If we took out Monument Valley to cut out some driving, where would you suggest we spend Monday night ?

I believe the 3 hour tour leaves from Gouldings at 2p.m., giving you enough time to have b'fast, leave Grand Canyon, get to Gouldings in time for lunch, then the tour, dinner and bed(with a short stop at their museum). We never have any problem with this schedule and then we leave the next a.m. from MV to go to Canyon de Chelly and you will go to Sedona, that is somewhat of a haul of a long day, but it is done.

If you decide to drop Monument Valley, then I'd spend two nights at the Grand Canyon. This would give you a full day to explore the park and ride the free shuttle bus to Hermits Rest. I would exit the park at Desert View and stop at all the scenic overlooks on the way, take Hwy 89 south towards Flagstaff and then take Hwy 395 loop road to Wupatki National Monument.

BTW, I'm not saying you shouldn't go to Monument Valley...I just wanted you to be aware that you would be doing a lot of driving.
