I'm certainly in the minority, but I was not impressed by the Pink House. To me it seemed like a big "old fashioned -but not in a good way" place. Prices were awfully high for standard sort of food. Just my opinion.
The finest meal we ever had in Savannah was at Elizabeth on 37, but that's been too long ago to mean much.
We LOVE Savannah Bistro. While not as "upscale" as some, but more "trendy" in feel, including the noise level, the food was beautifully prepared and somewhat creative, the service was both friendly and professional, and the wine list was very nice. We really liked this place.
Lady and Sons may be fine and the food may be great -- we headed there and then opted out when we saw it, it's basically a glorified buffet or cafeteria style place. I don't mind standing in line for lunch at Mrs. Wilkes, but not for Lady and Sons -- just me.

My husband and I were in Savannah this past spring and ate at Elizabeth's, the Sapphire Grill and the Pink House (downstairs tavern, but same kitchen). I loved Elizabeth's, but that doesn't matter to you now.
The food and service at the Sapphire Grill were great. My appetizer was one of my favorite things I ate in Savannah the whole weekend. I wouldn't say that the atmosphere was terribly romantic though.
I was a tad disappointed with the food at the Pink House. It's a nice atmosphere, but maybe an off night food-wise.

We found the food at The Pink House spectacular.
Note that you can order off the very same menu at Planter's Tavern in the basement (while enjoying the magnificent Gail Thurmond on piano). One evening, when we had no specific dinner plans, we wandered in and ordered an assortment of appetizers to share. Awesome!

djkbooks, that is my favorite meal at the Pink House - several appetizers. My favorite dinner at the Pink House is an appetizer in the tavern downstairs in front of the fire, dinner upstairs and an after dinner drink and relaxing to Gail downstairs.
I entertain at the Pink House and have been very lucky. We've never hit an "off" night. Customers have always enjoyed the meal. There isn't a vegetarian option on the menu, but they will put together a plate for vegetarians that will rival any of the other menu options - including the scored flounder.
Save room for the ice cream in a praline basket. I rarely do, but if I THINK I can I'll order it early in the evening - because they often run out. Every dessert friends and customers have ordered have been yummy - including the apple dessert.
It's been years since I've been to Elizabeth's and I wasn't blown away. I haven't been back - mostly because of the distance from the historic district. I think she used to own Indigo in Va-Hi in Atlanta - and I loved Indigo.
