Restaurants in or around McKinney, TX

I would like to buy a gift certificate/card for a nice restaurant in the vicinity of McKinney for friends who live there. High end, if possible and no chains.

Thanks for any and all suggestions.

thats kind of a catch 22, because usually gift cards are associated with chain restaurants. your typical mom & pop diner isnt going to feature gift cards. one restaurant comes to mind, that im sure you may enjoy in mckinney..called "Ruby Tuesday". There is only 2 of them in the whole Dallas/Fort Worth greater area. The other one is in Bedford.

Um, Ruby Tuesday is just like Bennigan's, Chile's, etc. and not exactly high end!

Lots of very knowledgable posters there and I'm sure they'll have some great suggestions.

If they like fish, there is a nice restaurant called Rockfish. They have good food. I believe they are now a chain. They have several restaurants in the DFW area and in Austin. They also have a few other dishes besides fish, but fish is the main dish.

Chanke,

Are you sure you don't mean Bonefish?

I haven't been to one because I don't like fish. But have heard that it's really good.

Ignore my post, there is indeed a Rockfish and no Bonefish in Texas.

Sorry.

Jaspers. It's in Frisco, which is a few minutes away from McKinney, but I'd drive pretty far if someone gave me a gift card to Jasper's. The food is great.
