restaurant before or after Alcatraz evening tour

I'm trying to figure out when we should eat and where. It seems like we won't get back from the evening tour til around 10 pm. We must be there by 6 pm to board. Any close "good" restaurants near FW that are open past 10 on a Monday night? Or maybe eat @ 4:30 and then just drinks after?

We made the mistake of eating at Bistro Boudin on Fisherman's Wharf after our night tour to Alcatraz in March. I also thought it would be a good idea to be able to eat close by.

It was awful! It was our worst meal in the 11 days we were in SF. And overpriced too!

There is an In n Out Burger place at FW, I would rather have eaten there!

Take a cab to North Beach and have some great Italian food.

FW is not the place for "good" restaurants. Sorry....

We had this same problem last year, and ended up eating at Bubba Gumps on Pier 39. It was one of the few places still open at 10 pm (or so). Just a short walk from the Alcatraz landing.

My advice.

Have some food before the tour, probably around 4....like a late lunch, a big one. This is your dinner.

Sorry, no "good" restaurants around Fisherman's Wharf except for Scoma's. That one is good. In crab season it is phenomenal. Doesn't take reservations.

We ate at the Boudin Bistro after our night voyage and it was delicious! Everything on the warf is expensive $$$$$ not just boudin's. You pay for the experience.

I had the mushroom pizza, can't remember what DH had but he was very happy and we are foodies.
