Restaurant at Maui Ocean Center

Has anyone eaten at the Ma'alaea Seascape Restaurant at the Maui Ocean Center? My husband and I are thinking of eating there and were wanting a "second opinion".

I can honestly say that I know of no one who has eaten there, and we discuss restaurants quite often in my circle. I have had a beer there, but I never even really thought of eating there, especially when there are other choices at the Maui Squidport.

Thanks, here_today! Can you recommend a good restaurant for lunch in the Squidport?

I like the Blue Marlin or Buzz's for lunch. You can sit waterfront, menus range from burgers to fish choices. Blue Marliin makes better drinks, and they come with neat plastic animals attahced to the glasses. Hey, presentation is important!

Sorry. I watch too much Simpsons.

Ma`alaea Harbor Village/Springfield Squidport

If I have to explain the joke, it looses something.

Buzz's is excellent. Their specialty is shrimp. The owners of the restaurant get their shrimp from their shrimp farm which is located somewhere in the South Pacific. It tastes just like lobster and are rather large. My husband ordered some seared ahi dish and it was also extremely excellent. It was one of our best meals in Maui. Dessert was also excellent. If I didn't get dessert I would have gotten their Kaluha Colada, I had it the last time we went to Maui and it was so good.

I've never eaten at the Blue Marlin, I'll have to try it next time for the plastic animals.
