Residence Inn - Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, or Chandler

Looking for advice on choosing a Residence Inn in the Phoenix area for a March trip for spring training. We're looking for a 2-bedroom suite. We were very happy at the Residence Inn in Scottsdale last year; however, that location is currently booked so we're considering the other area RI's. We loved the resort atmosphere and upscale feel of Scottsdale. Will any of the other locations be just as nice? If not, any other suggestions?

Thanks for your help.

Anyone familiar with these areas? Reservations for March are filling fast.

Thanks for any and all help.

We stayed at the Chandler residence Inn sveral months ago. It was fine but not exceptional. It did have easy highway access and some good restaurants nearby (PF Changs, Flemings). It met our needs but I have been in nicer Residence Inns in other parts of the country. Chandler does not have a Scootsdale resort feel.

I'd be interested in your reaction to which ever Residence Inn you end up staying in - we'll be back in the area in a couple of months.

sorry for not seeing this sooner. No none of the other locations will be like Scottsdale. Sorry. The Tempe location is close to ASU, so you'd have downtown Tempe, which might be a good replacement. Chandler is the suburbs, but has some great ethnic eating choices and I believe the RI is quite new and near the highway 101 that goes directly and easily to Scottsdale. I'd accept Mesa as last choice.

Thanks for the info. We've book the RI in Tempe.

hpl: I'll report back about this RI after our stay in March. If you happen to stay at a RI in the Phoenix area before then, please let me know about your experience.

Always check www.tripadvisor.com for hotel recs. There are usually many recs and they are up to date in most cases.
