Renaissance Parc 55 Hotel (San Francisco)

has anyone stayed at this hotel or know of anyone who has experienced it? I'm deciding between Parc 55 and the W Hotel San Francisco.

Please Help!

I've only visited friends staying there - great Union Square location for shopping and eating, but compared to the W, it's more of an old-school luxury hotel. Which is fine, but depends on what you're looking for. If you are a W Hotel fan, it's not the W in terms of hip-factor. I'm a big W fan, so factor that in. The W is in the SOMA area - bear the Sony Metreon, Moma, Yerba Buena gardens, and walking distance to Union Square.

I recently stayed at the Parc 55. We were in a small corner room on the 16th floor with awesome views.

The room was what I would call elegant. Plump goosedown bedding, armoir, wetbar, walkin closet. I especially like the location at Union square with BART just steps away. Even though it's a "too" HUGE hotel, I would stay there again.

Sorry I can't help you with W Hotel, since I haven't stayed there.

I stayed here last year and thought it was a great hotel. In a very good location in Union Square. The room was clean, good size and great view. I haven't stayed at the W but would definitely recommend Parc 55. Hope you enjoy it.

I've stayed there twice and it was fine both times. I can't compare it to the W, however.
