Refined Italian Restaurant in Chicago - No huge portion places please!!

Visiting for one night on August 11. RPM is booked. yelp is overwhelming. Any suggestions for Italian or Sicilian food for family of 3 that likes well made food in small portions? We are satying at the Palmer House, as an FYI for location. We do not need to filter for price, but this close to the date I suspect "hot spots" (in the trendy/new sense) are out. Thanks in advance!

Thanks all. Volare looks solid. Cocco Pazzo seemed to be a place that might do Italian with a twist but is booked on our Saturday night in town. How is its Cafe concept, which does have availability when we are in Chicago?

Cafe Coco Pazzo is very good. It's next to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, usually quite busy.

FYI:Your use of the word "refined" would not apply to the above places. They are excellent but wouldn't call them refined..
