Recs for Talkeetna Lodging

Does have anyone have any recommendations regarding lodging in or near Talkeetna?

We just retruned from 2 wks in Al and stayed at the Talkeetna Alaska Lodge;it was the nicest place we stayed in ak. Rooms, restaurant, lobby with fireplace and great big table that people were sitting with their feet up-it was all beautiful and what a view.
Try to do a flightsee tour with glacier landing from K-2 if you can-highlight of our trip. Say hi to Randy if he is your pilot (family of 6 with scared mother and sick teenage boy).

On your recommendation and what I have read elsewhere, I have booked the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge and will try the K2 Flightseeing. Thanks!

The cedar riverside cabins at Susitna River Lodge are very nice. There are also some handmade log cabins in the area that are very cozy.

We stayed at some great cabins about 30 minutes from Talkeetna, Gate Creek Cabins. They looked brand new & were quite reasonable. They let us use canoes & fish on their lake. Places were very clean & had porches with great views of the mountains & lakes.
