Reasonably priced Las Vegas restaurants (less than $30 per person)???
My husband and I will be traveling to Las Vegas in a couple of weeks for our anniversary. We are both 32 years old and enjoy many types of food. We are staying at the Luxor and would prefer something on the strip. Does anyone have restaurant recommendations that are reasonably priced (approx. less than $30 per person)? Please don't include buffets. We will already be doing the Bellagio buffet for one lunch so I would prefer not to go to another buffet. Thank you.

The Luxor is at the end of the Strip so you'll have to travel pretty far to get to anything mid strip.
The best deal in Vegas is the Ellis Island Casino and Brewery, 7 bucks for a steak dinner and buck microbrews. It's a block behind Bally's (mid strip).
There are a lot of choices off strip that are good and reasonable. If you will have a car I would recommend them over most places on the Strip.

Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris hotel was good.

It's probably near the top of your budget for steak dishes.

Daniel Boulud's brasserie at the Wynn has a 3 course prix fixe meal for either $30 or $40 per person and it's pretty darn good..great water show at night.
Country Club and Okada are also excellent at the Wynn and you can do it for close to that.
Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay.
Go Downtown..the best breakfast for under $5 is the huge ham steak and eggs at the Horsehoe Binions.
Lotus of Siam for Thai off the strip is one of the best Thai places besides Thailand..imo
Cordon Bleu school has great food deals in Summerland.
We had a 4 course meal with wine and dessert for under $60 for two.

Eat out at lunch instead of dinner time and you'll find tons within that budget. Menus are mostly posted outside restaurants and you won't have any trouble. Vegas is huge and planning-ahead for mealtime doesnt' work too well, you're often a long haul away from wherever you plan to eat and end up eating wherever you're hungry.
Near the Luxor....Monte Carlo Brewpub is pretty good, Chin Chin at NYNY, Il Fornaio at NYNY.....Market City Cafe in Monte Carlo, Mon Ami Gabi in Paris, Coffee shop (excellent) in Paris....lots of choices in Caesar's Forum Mall (a must visit place even if you're not gonna shop).

There are lots of places for a really nice lunch at moderate/low prices. One of our favorite spots is the outdoor deck of Morel's at the Palazzo.
Highly recommend breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi! In the nice weather, the terrace is fantastic.
Another way to dine well economically - bar menus. One of our favorites is Emeril's Delmonico at the Venetian, where you can feast on such offerings as Jumbo Lump Crabcake, Steak Tartare, BBQ Shrimp, lobster bisque, mixed green salad, tomato/mozarella, and the famous and absolutely awesome Banana Cream Pie! At Table 10 in the Palazzo, there's a really nice bar area where you can order as you please from the regular menu. Same goes for Craft Steak at MGM. Also check out the sandwich place at MGM (can't think of the name of it). Wonderful breads, with fresh, delicious fillings.
All the large hotels have 24/7 cafes, most with very good food. Our favorite is the Victoria Room at Bill's - the best hot roast turkey sandwich (with wonderful mashed potatoes) I've enjoyed anywhere. If you like Chinese Food, it's excellent at Bill's.
Do check all the hotel websites for special Prix Fixe menus. You can dine very well for bargain prices! We loved Daniel Boulud (with a table on the lovely terrace overlooking the fountain)! (And, we were no fan of his after a dreadful experience at Daniel in NYC.)
Our very favorite dining spots in Las Vegas is Bouchon at the Venezia - very reasonable prices, outstanding food and service - gorgeous room!
The "food court" at NYNY has many appealing places, too.

Don't be put off by locations that aren't "near" the Luxor.
We've stayed at the Luxor several times (their breakfast buffet is good) and have just walked the length of the strip to see the sights. And if you tire, just pop in anywhere for a mid-afternoon drink/appetizer to refresh, or catch a taxi back to the Luxor. We've really enjoyed the Lux Cafe at the Venetian (lower level) - nice, but not extravagantly decorated - the food is very good and reasonable; certainly within your range. (Mojitos are very good also!)
We also enjoyed the Rum Jungle (Mandalay Bay/connected to Luxor by walkway), although it may be a bit higher than your budget. It turns into a nightclub in the evening, so go in early evening for a meal to avoid the cover charge, and stay for the music later if you wish. Also - if you love sweets, don't miss purchasing Ethel M chocolates and chocolate covered stawberries in LV. Excellent!!!
