mlgb - I'm sure my kids will want to check out both pool at the villas and at the hotel! I read if you're staying in the villas, you can use the hotel side pool too, but not vice versa... but we'll have to see when we get there.

I also read a few negative reports about tons of kids running around the pool area and blaring music during school holiday weekends. Since we'll be there the weekend after Thanksgiving, we'll have to see how that goes as well!

mlgb - I'm sure my kids will want to try BOTH pools!! The Westin folks told me that the people at the Villas could use the Resort pool, but not vice versa... we'll have to see what the reality on that is.

I did read a few comments regarding lots of kids running around the pool during holiday times of the year. We're going to be there during part of Thanksgiving week so I'll report back on that as well.

During the summer, kids running around the pools loudly is a problem at ALL resorts. Cheap rates, local families.

Probably will be fine for your visit.

To lvk, et. al....

Just wanted to report back that the Westin Mission Hills was fine. Now, we were in the Villas, not the resort... but the room (a premium 1 BR villa) was clean and neat and had no visible signs of wear and tear.

We had a nice stay.

Thanks for reporting back cawhite. I'll report back after our weekend, also.

Did you try any of the restaurants at the Resort?

cawhite - are you doing this through a Timeshare exchange or are you just paying to stay there out of pocket?

lvk - The only thing we had from the resort was lunch by the main Villas pool. The food came from the Season's Grill and it was typical poolside food. I'm sure dining inside the restaurants for a sit down meal would be a different experience.

We prefer eating in town over eating at resorts, so we went to downtown Palm Springs for dinner each night. It's really nice there... especially since the "strip" is all lit up for the holidays... very festive!

MrsR - we stayed at the Villas through a Westin promotion we received.

I'm, glad you enjoyed it. My company works with them and all the starwood timeshares so I was just curious
