Questions re: Sam Choy's Diamond Head Restaurant

We are supposed to meet someone there for dinner. We have never been to Hawaii-can you give us an idea of the average prices and also dress? Will dressy shorts and a nice shirt be ok for my husband? (we live in Fla and that usually works most places here) thanks

dinner entrees run $25-$30 or about $3 more will get you soup and salad. Dress is nice casual--Nice shorts on your husband will be okay, although he would probably be more comfortable in slacks.
Typical for Sam's is slacks and aloha shirt or polo shirt for men.

We recommend the Sam Choy "Breakfast Lunch and Crab" near the airport. We tried the other Sam Choy in Diamond Head and were very disappointed. We preferred the the more casual and seafood friendly restaurant at "Breakfast Lunch and Crab". Breakfast Lunch and Crab is definitely more casual and shorts and shirt for your husband is fine.

I like them both. The atmosphere is totally different though. Breakfast Lunch and Crab is more of a themed, touristy type eatery where they sell T-shirts, etc. Diamond Head has a more elegant atmosphere.
