If i'm going to the first 2 Nat'l Mments, would I be missing too much to skip the 3rd?

From my reading, it seems to be pretty much of a duplication.

WUPATKI - a drive through with a few stops will take an hour or so.
Walnut - Did it twice and spent less than 3 hour both times
de Chelly - requires a minimum of one full day, two days would be better.

From your answer, it seems like there is some dupilcation, I think with doing the first 2, I'll skip the 3rd and go to Monument Valley.

YES! Canyon de Chelly is more than just ruins. It is a beautiful canyon with interesting sheer sandstone walls and Spider Rock is really something to see. Wupaktki are ruins that are on flat lands. Walnut Canyon is nice but not as scenic as Canyon de Chelly.

I would be more incline to skip the first two and spend the time at Canyon de Chelly and Monument Valley.

You can do the first two in the same day while in the Flagstaff area, then move on to either Monument Valley or Canyon de Chelly for subsequent days.

Thanks all, we will be in Flagstaff for 3 days coming from the north.

On the way there we'll go to Waputki, next day Walnut Canyon and 3rd day- Slide Rock SP on the way to Sedona.

Want some hotel pool time, too and going around Flagstaff, been there 3 times and only saw the hotel!

I like that the visits to the canyons are shorter.

Will go to the 3rd NEXT time!
