Question about the Waikiki Parc

I think that I read somewhere that as a Parc guest you have privleges at it's sister hotel on the beach, the Halekulani. Does anyone know if this is true?

Mahalo!

What do you mean by "privileges", exactly?

I have stayed at the Waikiki Parc ( lovely hotel) and I think it the 'sister hotel privileges' referred to being able to charge the bill from the restaurant and bar to your room at the Parc.

The Parc has a nice pool and gym of its own , enjoy your stay.

Nooo nooo you cannot use the Halekulani pool! Sorry to be so vehement, but on our last trip to Waikiki, we stayed at the Parc (which we liked very much) and when we wandered over to the Halekulani just to have a look around, we were VERY RUDELY told to leave the pool area. We explained we were from the Parc and were just looking around at the Halekulani grounds--maybe thinking of getting a beachside drink at their bar. The "guard" (or whatever he was) VERY RUDELY pointed us toward the restaurant and said, "There's the bar. Go."

I understand the Halekulani probably has to work hard to keep the pool free of non-guests, but I was shocked at how rude this man was to us, even after we explained we were staying at the Parc. Just be careful if you do decide to explore the grounds.

BTW...I have to add...the staff at the Parc is just as polite, professional, and nice as can be. They treated us like VIPs during our entire stay. We were given such pleasant and top-notch service at the Parc that I was doubly shocked at the treatment we got at their "luxury sister" hotel. Enjoy your stay!
