Question about Holliday Inn Downtown

Did anybody have experience with Holiday Inn Downtown in Washington DC at 1155 14 str.
It's different hotel from Holiday Inn on the Hill. What would be the parking choices in that area if I don't want to pay at hotel's parking?
Thanks for any info.

There are parking garages all around that HI, and I could be wrong, but I think they charge $10 per in/out; that is, if you park in the am, then take the car out for lunch and bring it back, they'd charge you twice. But that wouldn't matter if you simply plan to park the car for the duration of your stay.

Are you referring to the Holiday Inn Capitol? If so, it's a nice place in a great location. Truthfully, you're probably better off paying for hotel parking--at least you'd be in a covered, relatively safe spot. Can't say for sure, though, since I don't remember the cost to park there. You're right--you will be able to walk or take the Metro anywhere.
